Camden County Police Department detectives arrest suspect wanted for multiple burglaries

(Camden, NJ) – A team of Camden County Police Department detectives diligently investigating burglaries at businesses in the city were able to track down and apprehend the suspect this week.

Following a burglary investigation on Monday, March 21, detectives immediately gathered evidence and quickly determined that the suspect was the same individual who was wanted for other burglaries in the city.

Sergeant Janell Simpson and Detectives Nicholas Rao, Lucas Murray and Jesse Henderson began canvassing the neighborhood and observed the suspect seen on surveillance video – Julian Petty, 47, of Camden – on the 3000 block of Merrimac Road. Petty was engaged by the detectives and placed under arrest without incident.

The investigation revealed that Petty committed multiple burglaries and he was charged with seven counts of Burglary and four counts of Theft. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail with bail set at $525,000 cash or bond.
