Officers apprehend suspects from Pennsauken spray-painting graffiti

(Camden, NJ) – Camden County Police Department officers caught four suspects early Saturday who were observed defacing city property.

 
Just after 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Sergeant Robert Borger observed four individuals spray-painting graffiti on the columns of the Federal Street bridge near Admiral Wilson Boulevard. The four suspects ignored orders to stop and ran onto nearby railroad tracks. Officers pursued the suspects on foot and were able to arrest all four without incident. The suspects were identified as: Felix Santos, 19; Lamar Hoffman, 20; Jeffrey Figueroa, 18; and Marcus Benvenutti, 20.

 
After investigating, the suspects were determined to have spray-painted graffiti on other properties in the area. All four were charged with Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest and were remanded to the county jail with bail set at $20,000 cash or bond.

 
Code Enforcement officials from the City of Camden and the Camden County Police Department have been working to address code violations and remove graffiti along Admiral Wilson Boulevard and other areas of the city.
